The LL trial has "Moderately ill patients with COVID-19 (defined as Ordinal Scale of 5 or 6): Hospitalized, requiring supplemental oxygen or hospitalized, on non-invasive ventilation or high flow oxygen devices"[/b]) as inclusion criteria defined.
Would be really interesting how this scale is defined from 1 to 6 and how the percentage of patients apply to this.
It would be also very interesting to see a statistic how many COVID patients need supplemental oxygen at one point of hospitalization (I assume there is also difference between Delta and Omicron).
Isn't supplemental oxygen one of the "treatments" to give COVID patients with pneumonia, if they have problems with breathing?
As a layman "requiring supplemental oxygen" does not sound to me that lots of patients would be excluded in our trial. But I guess there comes the other inclusion criteria "Hospitalization for less than 72 hours" into play ... ?
