I never said NP was going to interview his replacement. EVER. What I said was that NP could help the transition of power from himself to the new person. We are ALL replaceable at any time, but depending on how things end and WHY they end, there can be a smooth, amicable transfer of power that helps things to keep moving forward with as little downtime as possible.
