Does the number of Covid deaths in Brazil really matter?

More importantly for Cytodyn and CD16 & CD17 Leronlimab trials, Brazil reported 137K cases and 351 deaths. Two weeks ago, the average in Brazil was 35K daily cases and 150 deaths.

The problem does not seem to be the # of cases and deaths but the way AE/BIOMM and the hospitals treat our trial. In the last three months of 2021 Brazil reported roughly 29,000 Covid deaths. And we had only 6 patients recruited out of 29000 people who were about to die? Am I alone on this board who smells a rat?
