You are a very good example of "a little bit of knowledge can be a dangerous thing."
I understand what piercing the corporate veil is, thank you, HOWEVER these are smart companies with smart people. CLEARLY Sony or Paramount or whatever the main company is exerts "direct control" over the LLC making a film, however, that does NOT mean that said main company is financially liable for the mistakes of the subsidiary. I doubt NSF is going to be on the hook for the failing s of Amarex UNLESS it can be shown that they exerted pressure, influence, and had knowledge of what Amarex was or was not doing.
I know, I know...you watched LA Law, NCIS, and Judge Judy, but those shows are not all based on actual law and correct procedure, so your transitive attorney skills may not get you to pass the bar (or, in my case, 3 of them).
