It's more the T-cells against the a-lactalbumin than autoantibodies that do the cancer cell killing. The vaccine just tells which cells should be killed - only the cancer cells overexpressing a-lactalbumin.
Agree it would be a problem in late pregnancy or lactating women, but these women with cancer would gladly give up potential problems in future pregnancies to live longer, I imagine.
Thanks for the link to the article. I'm glad their research shows they can create killer T-cells against this cancer specific antigen in human cells and that mouse models of human TNBC show consistent expression of this antigen confined only to the tumor.
