If a-lactalbumin does not cause or promote cancer then producing autoantibodies to eliminate it would do nothing to effect the cancer. Then there's the problem of having an autoimmune response that attacks a normal function like lactation. You would be inducing an autoimmune disease into any woman who starts lactating.
Then there's their rationale.

We know from research into CCR5 and cancer that you want a ramped up immune response but a proinflammatory immune response can be a negative.
