The IRS has NO IDEA if you sell in one brokerage and buy in another. Definitely not flaggable at all. One broker reports your trades on a form 1099-B without ANY Knowledge of any other 1099 from other brokerages. And the IRS gets reports of sales sent by the brokerages. They can’t figure this out believe me. Now if you’re audited I doubt it would get down to that level of detail where you would show each brokerage and every damn transaction.
