I had a similar experience with the original strain. But a buddy of mine (10 years older) died.
Omicron is still a serious health risk to many. But it is unstoppable at this point. Hopefully it doesnt mutate (it likely will), and if it does Hopefully it continues down the path of favoring transmissability over severity.
The next few weeks are going to be scary. But I believe we are going to have a moment in the next few weeks where we breath a collective sigh of relief.
