Agreed. And, I don't mean for my comments to be construed as if Omicron is not a serious threat to public health. It most certainly is.

I am just being objective about what I am seeing. My concern (from a COVID trial standpoint) is not whether there will be enough patients to fill the trials.... its that if the symptom set changes, our affect on said symptoms may change as well.

We believe this works in COVID because of the Cytokine storm. Does Omicron still induce a cytokine storm? It very well may. I just think its worth considering.

Additionally, with the speed at which this variant is spreading, it appears that we will hit a peak in the US in the next few weeks. All indications are that this wave will explode up, peak and then come back down very quickly.
