Re: Birddogfishman #34009
At my work there was a big push to get folks vaccinated. At this time, most of the folks currently getting COVID at my work have been previously vaccinated. It's funny, some politicians said unvaccinated folks need to get vaccinated to protect the vaccinated. Really? Fact, today the majority of COVID cases are from variants which means all folks vaccinated or unvaccinated are just as likely to catch and transfer COVID. In reality, there is no such thing as unvaccinated folks being a problem to vaccinated folks, it's just the opposite.
Here's another observation, recently in the news, a vaccinated NFL player recently tested positive for COVID, was forced to miss a game even though he never displayed any symptoms. He asymptomatic and probably would have never realized he had COVID if it were not for the mandatory testing in the NFL. Anyways, is a positive COVID test really that big of a deal to many? Often times it seems it's more important when politicians get involved or folks use scare tactics. At this point, I do think if anyone is in a high risk group they should get the vaccine if one believes doctors that it will reduce the impact even with the variants.
