It’s a big car that feels like it’s driving off a cliff. I didn’t even realize that NUGX was down to .0002 until TC told me. It was just $3 and it sounded surreal. And under Anna Gluskin GNBT once traded down to 8 cents, but she was always relentless in spreading the word. I recall one national tv appearance on FOX or Bloomberg TV where she spoke of bird flu, but was saying into the camera “we aren’t going anywhere, we’ll survive.” The host didn’t understand, but she was talking to shareholders publicly in a dire time.
For whatever reason, we currently don’t see or hear of a fight to survive. We have no updates for months, delinquent filings cratering shareholder value, and Gnbt traded below that 8 cent mark AFTER (!) a 1000 into 1 reverse stock split!! So we are officially doing 1000 times worse now. And I fully believe Joe is overwhelmingly upset about it.
I’ve talked or whatever since 2010 with him, and I know he’s both prideful personally and really cares about his team and his shareholders. Any frustration he expressed people take advantage of to attack, but I knew even when we (Joe and I) argued hard on DigitalTradz over GMD or acquisitions, that he cares. Lol, I was just hard headed in my firm belief holding company strategies only make sense if the parent company is cash rich. Generex is poor, but has great Ii-Key tech that in my opinion all and every resource should only be spent on creating a modest vibrant pipeline in cancer and immunotherapy.
To me- Amarantus, Emmaus, Veneto (horrid), pharmacies are all a wild eyed lack of focus that at times had me question the opinion of Terry Thompson, David Brusegaurd, Craig Eagle on how wise they really are in rising up a tiny biotech whose main value in the current scientific environment was the life science company Anna acquired from Bob Humphrey’s and his Antigen Express team. Like James Carville once said to President Clinton “it’s the economy, Stupid!” His point was focus on the important to now. So during the pandemic, as Generex was broke while appearing focused smartly on Ii-Key Covid SARS vaccine, I didn’t find it welcome to hear of “buildouts” in Arizona. I thought- “It’s the vaccine, Stupid!”
Joe only responded to me vaguely today, which I understand because he obviously can’t comment on corporate standings or forward looking remarks, that he would never do anything to harm his team or shareholders. I believe that. Of course, we all could make decisions that wind up not reaching ambitious projections, and became harmful. Or we have the SEC being ridiculous in short staffed long winded investigations that harm small otc companies and their shareholders. I’m prone to believe that angle, as I view Joe as a leader who would always fight forward. I believe that in Joe, even when pissed at the destruction of our shares, because I know he wants us to succeed. To me bankruptcy and delisting is cowardice in a public company. And I certainly don’t view Joe as a coward. File those Ks! No excuses!!
