“Partially” loses it’s antiviral activity. I wonder if this is a statistically significant loss? As far as hospitalized patients on a heparin drip, that number would be relatively small. However, many hospitalized patients (s/p surgery, immobile and Covid….because of their risks of PE/DVT) are prescribed TED Hose and daily Lovenox (Low Molecular Weight Heparin) SQ.
In spite of this partial loss of antiviral activity, Brilacidin is also directly virucidal and therefore we should still have very good efficacy with the combination of the two MOAs.
