Look...if the manager of your favorite baseball team keeps sending up the team's weakest hitter to bat in the bottom of the 9th with bases loaded, 2 outs and the team down by a run with the championship game on the line and that guy keeps striking out, isn't it the manager's fault at some point for not being a better manager and reading the situation correctly?
No, OF COURSE the manager isn't the one at bat, but HE IS MAKING THE DECISIONS as to who should be batting in those situations. YOU ARE CORRECT, NP was not just sitting back, he WAS making decisions (and statements) and after a while, a pattern emerges that isn't exactly showing great decision making.
