Re: BestestBaby #24180
significant civil penalties — up to $43,792 per violation
So let's say a BWer post 10 times a day and 1/2 the posts are flagged as misleading. That is over $200K in one day of potential fines.
Just one frigging day! I'll do my part to point them out to the FTC as an investor
Most don't know there is a big difference between the SEC and the FTC on who takes action and how quick.
Oh and these are civil penalties which makes it easier/quicker...
"A civil penalty is a non-criminal remedy for a party's violations of laws or regulations. Civil penalties usually only include civil fines or other financial payments as a remedy for damages. An action seeking a civil penalty can be brought by the government, or by a private party in the shoes of the government."
Maybe the company Momentum Factor that partner with Verb, in addition to Field Check, could come out with a product called BWer Check posters could run their musing through so they don't get fined $43,792 per post, eh?
Maybe they could get Zach Galifianakis to do promos and also when a social media post is flagged for potentially misleading information, a message pops up...
