Imo, they will stay & continue to trade & short the stock. Even successful biotechs
can be great for those purposes. They would be hard-pressed to find one with more volume & buzz. It figures that as pps goes up many retail investors will take profits & institutional investors are sure to show up eventually.
There will still be opportunities for them to make money, but it may be a riskier venture for them as it will be a level playing field.
If they are a little bit smart, they stay & hold. This would help them & us. We all know how much they want to help us & what they are willing to do for our benefit.
