I previously owned monif(monitise) a mobile money otc. Great partners- visa, mc,ibm, banco santander, etc...
Point being that even though they were an OTC that never went past 1.60 & ultimately ended up at less than .02 & had a former soccer player as ceo, they had (not a lot) some institutional investors. Acouple of hedge funds & a teachers union that probably lost as much as me. But for a time they changed the dynamic where shorts & sp were concerned & allowed the company to raise serious money.Unfortunately technology out grew the product. But there are institutions with a little more flexibility & right now alittle would go a long way.
