The U.S. FDA is not the only entity in the world that can approve a drug and start treating people with it.
Who knows what other country might be panicked enough by COVID to grant emergency use approval, and start using it right away?
As far as data, I hope that IPIX slices and dices the data every possible way before releasing it. We've seen it too many times with other small companies -- they rush the data out, and it doesn't show their clinical trial results in the best way, with clearly understood efficacy.
Fine with me if they take extra days or even weeks to make sure that the results are evident.
