Exactly, I hope they are "checking up" the symptoms with biomarkers and results obtained and very carefully designing P3.
There is also the "weight" factor as Severe, Moderate, Mild and None have been given "arbitrary weights".
And, as you point out, there is the symptom-correlation factor which could be improved by properly defining the measuring (end-point) indexes to be as independent as possible.
Nevertheless the published data is very encouraging, there is no way a "placebo" could produce such improvement(s).
