It is a wild assertion first shown by the extensive COURAGE trial and more recently confirmed by the more extensive ISCHEMIA study. A more appropriate alternative treatment stenting or bypass surgery for CAD and heart failure is the Medicare approved, non-invasive enhanced external counter-pulsation therapy (EECP) which I received over tens years ago after refusing quadruple bypass surgery even though I was assure by multiple cardiologists and surgeons that I could die at at any minute and had no alternative if I wanted to live.
