Yes, the letter reveals a protocol of 4 doses. That is great news. No mention of IV use, which may be desireable for those on ventilatiors.
8 Vials, that sounds like a lot for 1 patient, 4 shots, Maybe it is enough for the initial dose to be given by IV, or is the IV still just 700 mg?
Approximations here....700 mg should be a volume about the size of a huge green pea, about 1 ml or 1 cc. A common medicine vial unless a special size, is 5 to 10 ml, thus a vial might contain 5 to 10 doses at 700 mg per dose. Thus, 8 vials would contain enough LL for 40 to 80 doses or 10 to 20 patients.
The letter is addresed to their FDA. Hopefully, as was suggested by that wonderful Senator lady, the FDA or Chiral will have vials stored on hand ready to release to local hospitals, thus not having to wait 5 to 6 days, for LL to trickle in from Samsung, South Korea....
