I have, on purpose, stayed out of politics between members of this board about Nadar, BP, BP and funding. I am here for LL, can afford the loss if all goes into the tank.
The politics I am interested in have to do with the FDA, its relationship to research that is nearly all funded by BP. When researchers work for 20 or 30 years on infectious disease with money from BP, and a pandemic comes along, it is only natural to want to be the person who can justify that life long research by being the "amazing breakthrough" that conquers the virus, be that a test, a therapy, a warning system, a vaccine, etc.
So along comes some "voodoo" drug to destroy the lifelong dream and it runs into this mountain of resentment. Those are the politics that interest me.
