I don't know anyone on the ground in Manaus, but secondhand reports from friends in Sao Paulo corroborate reports saying much the same.
As the media and general public are slowly becoming aware, the reality is there are two concurrent worldwide pandemics, HIV and SarsCov2... And SarsCov2 is benefitting / being strengthened by the under-addressed HIV pandemic. The worst variants are coming out of HIV hotspots (SAfrica, Brazil), and this dynamic will make eradication of SarsCov2 extremely, extremely difficult. All strategies need to take this into account.
Vancouver, Canada has the highest known concentration of P.1 in North America to date.. just in CytoDyn's backyard.
