Agree if SA variant more transmissable eventually it will be most prevalent one ... survival of the fittest and all that. Within the vaccinated population for sure the SA variant will be more transmissable since the vaccine protects best against the original Wuhan variant, not the SA one so well, is all I was trying to say. So the vaccine provides protection against all variants, less against the SA one, so that's why there is a higher percentage of SA in those infected who have been vaccinated. I think per whole vaccinated population SA variant infection per person will still be lower than in unvaccinated on an absolute basis.
