Just to throw my two cents in...
24% reduction in death sure seems like a good thing, a very good thing.
Getting out of the hospital 6 days sooner also seems like a very good thing.
I don't believe there has been anything else close to those results, and yet there are approved drugs for Covid.
Not being in the medical field or otherwise have the experience of many on this board, I'm frustrated and even confused why a p-value can be more important than the 2 results above. And I'm dismayed that the FDA may not approve these results because of a p-value.
BUT, do we KNOW they will not be granting an EUA while additional tests are being completed? As I've read way too many posts over this weekend, I don't believe I have heard knowledgeable statement that an EUA will not be granted at this time. I know Nader said it was against the law for one to be granted if p not <.05...and I cannot believe that is a fact.(That was a horrible interview with Been. CytoDyn needs a better spokesperson, IMHO.) But it appears to me that the FDA can do whatever it pleases for their own purposes. I have not given in to accepting that an EUA is not forthcoming, and think it could come from our FDA as well as 1,2 or 3 others.
Obviously with all the diverse opinions on this board over the weekend, anything could happen tomorrow to the stock price, and clearly there is no way of knowing yet. I agree worst case is we do some more tests and wait another 2-3 months for a confirmation and then we have money in the bank. IF we need to raise some money in the mean time it would be a small amount and nothing significant for concerns of dilution. We'll all be fine in the long run, yes it's hard to keep hearing that, but it is true. These results at least prove that for Covid...and beyond.
