Pathetically Simple Minded & Ludicrous That
1) timing of a trial can determine the p value and result in massive deaths
(If LL s/c trial had ended before SOC had improved......)
2) identical data in one trial can result in an EUA and saved lives and in another trial can result in rejection of an EUA and massive deaths, because the Endpoints were different (with no flexibility even when people have been dying for a year)
3) In America, a Federal gov't agency, the FDA, can display blatant favoritism exercising different rules for huge companies vs small companies.
4) A drug must out-perform existing approved drugs, by a specific amount, in order to be approved. If a drug is superior to existing approved drugs, it should be approved. (Logical, Common Sense, Reasonable)
