Ketamine (ketamine hydrochloride) is an anaesthetic and analgesic (pain killer). It was developed in the 1960s for medical use and is now used widely throughout the world for anaesthesia and pain relief in both humans and animals. It wasn’t long after its invention that it began to be used recreationally.
Ketamine, has been used Extensively by Vets. for the Anaesthesia, and pain, I personally know Barrel Racer's that still use it, you have a horse that gets so excited and nervous going in the ring to do his job he just screws up, well with the correct dosage of Ketamine you can bring him back down to his usual self, then he'll walk right up and usually blow all the competition away if he's good to begin with.
I can see how it could benefit in the treating of a number of issues. But it could also be one of the biggest breakthroughs in treating severe depression in years.
