When shorts borrow shares, is there a downward pressure or upward pressure on the SP? What have we seen this morning? When the SP was at $2.27 this morning, did the price stabilize, continue going downward, or go in an upward direction? As of this writing, the SP is currently $2.40 ish. Wouldn't shorts covering be a plausible explanation for it to have risen from $2.27 earlier?
