This has been my #1 concern since the DSMB recommended the 42 day number at 75%. I was encouraged to read in today’s InsiderFinancial article that 42 day mortality was added as a secondary endpoint. I hope that was accurate. I am also encouraged by Relief’s focus on the 60 day endpoint - just as a sign of flexibility in the system.
It is hard to imagine that a drug that saves lives between 43 and 60 days would be denied use because the 28 day endpoint is all that matters. If there was a time for ALL involved to help find solutions, this is that time.
