Yes, CCR5delta32 mutation produces a protein, but that protein is not CCR5.
Its a different protein. The mutation is such that
With 32 DNA base pairs deleted, there are about ten amino acids that are deleted from the protein.
The mutant protein never even makes it to the cell surface:

So while the mutated CCR5delta32 gene does express a protein, that protein is never seen by either HIV viruses or leronlimab molecules.
