I spoke to someone today who purports to have been a trial site manager (I forget what he called it) for 140 trials and he said the same thing. Data comes in during the trial to be checked for completeness, and is entered into the system still blinded.
He states that this should allow them to lock and unblind the data fairly quickly. He was not certain that it would result in the data coming out in the next handful of days, but he seemed to think it would.
I always take these things with a grain of salt, but he seemed authentic to me. But, no way to be certain.
