attractive therapeutic candidates given favorable characteristics, including being: (i) highly selective
(potent against target while leaving host cells unaffected); (ii) not prone to resistance mechanisms; (iii)
relatively easy to produce at low costs; (iv) and stable during storage or upon administration.
