Re: ClosetInvestor #67481
I seriously doubt this is real. If they want to rally together some sort of coordinated attack on the CEO, a way to do it would be to fabricate a large group of “reasonable” investors that feel there is a big enough problem that requires action. The hope is that other investors pile onto the story and it becomes legit, sort of. If the letter was too inflammatory, it would never gain traction. I am a long time investor and own a large number of shares, know one approched me about this serious issue. The whole point of the letter is to compel Nader to make friends with Dr Patterson? Seriously? Who would ever feel this is the most important issue? There is yet no evidence that there is any animosity between Nader and BP, it at this point has always been a rumor created on internet boards. Many blindly believe that BP is flawless and Nader must have some huge ego or something. Let’s remember, we have had a former ceo that sued the company because he did not like Nader’s compensation and another Dr that promised a lot and did nothing, except create a story that Nader prevented him from accomplishing anything. If you want to believe these thin stories, go for it.
