Big question is “ if I get the vaccine can I go back to normal life when the anti bodies kick in” ....the question is not being asked by anyone I’m aware of to the government officials . If they want to get the majority of people to get the shot and then say. “ great you got the vaccine, now go back inside and look down”, that isnt going to work for many who are on the fence about getting the vaccination...
for the order in which people should get vaccinated...I would also prioritize healthcare workers and employees first both in the hospitals and senior care centers. Then I would vaccinate service workers and small businesses people in the second wave so that we avoid economic collapse of the small businesses in the US. I am a senior so you would think I would say the most vulnerable people first but I would argue by taking care of the front line service worker making minimum wage or less you will reduce the spread faster. In my county the most rapid spread is among those minimum wage workers living with multiple families under the same roof. In the long run we will be better for that approach , IMO...
