Hi Ganesha,
Waiting for the slide review in the cancer clinical trial can take several (what seems like never-ending) weeks. (In my experience- months- since the slides were wonky. Long story short- didn't end well since slides were older and didn't show cancer or CCR5, etc.)
I just heard from them - so seems they are working to get through the reviews for enrollment. Also appears that they are crazy busy with a number of clinical trials. I found Dr Jay and the staff to be awesome. They tried several times to get the info they needed. Tip: I worked with his staff mostly (Emily)- but for the 'bigger' communications included Dr Jay L.(drjay@questclinical.com) - who seems lovely and so committed to helping.
From a person who has been there- a) please know that you are so many steps ahead with your friend and the oncologist on your side and willing to participate in this trial (I have not been so lucky), b) get words of wisdom from JLang- who is on this message board, c) be patient with the process- and know when to be tenacious, d) feel good that you are a very good friend and d) share with me if you figure it out.
