In following the mortality rate discussion we know that the major factors are age, 70+, and the existence of pre-existing conditions. Is one more significant than the other? Even if the mod-sev population in the trial is under 65 yrs. of age, that does not mean that there are no pre-existing conditions. In other words who has the best chance to survive; a 70 yr. old with no pre-existing conditions, or a 50 yr. old with diabetes, kidney transplant, cancer survivor, etc.? I don't recall any previous posts or publications that have parsed the difference between the two. Both are always lumped together.
