Right, Jeff, wtf Belgium? No, they haven't had the press - no Idea what their policy was. Always just assumed they were "worst of France."
Relative infection timing has had an impact. Europe was led by Italy, Spain and then France. Same overwhelming impact as to New York Metro when they had no models how to respond.
It seems the best way to lower the proportion of dead over age 70 is simply to let young people do dumb things without masks for a longer period of time.
