Havasu, CDiddy,
Good morning. Thank you for calling out my mistake in the calculation of the p-value. My apologies. I simply used the wrong number for the placebo survivals (40) when is reality is 50 (50 survivals + 15 deaths).
Started to drink my whiskies in advance to the debate too early.
So, with 15 deaths in the placebo group we can afford 11 deaths, p-value =0.0056 (the number will change in one depending if the FDA uses a one-tailed or a two-tailed test.)
Once again, apologies for posting the wrong number before. I learned that doing numbers while doing whiskies will not win me any Raspy awards
Looking forward to meeting today !!!. Already submitted my questions.
