We will never really know unless more info comes out, but Dr B is a smart one.
Let only look at hypotheticals (I am in no way saying this is true etc) :
What if something went wrong with the relationship (say around the filing of a patent, or a commercial idea), and there was some serious negotiation or backlash etc
Maybe there was, maybe there wasn't a settlement or an agreement reached.
It would be easy to imagine that such an agreement would have a confidentiality agreement attached etc. Those things usually even include the provision that a person may not even disclose there is an NDA. So we would never know, as no one would be allowed to talk about it, even if asked.
Personally I think that paper would be huge for the company if published. Hopefully it does get published. DrBP did say there was some politics around it, and it had been sorted and would eventually come out. Here is too hoping. As all that matters is there is an end to the death and suffering. The money is 2nd to all that.
