Do any of you Dr types understand where we might be or how long it might take to get Excellagen approved for insurance reimbursement, etc., so it can start to be used in non-VA hospitals?
It really is terrible that this product could be saving life and limb, but no one has access to it.
And the fact that they are unable to use it to help the veterans due to CV is about as horrible as the daily CV death tally from the VA. It's often 40, 50, even close to 100 deaths in a single day. I sure hope there's some sort of solution before flu season/winter kicks in. Even if they can only use a therapeutic or vaccine in small numbers due to capacity (not as a test group), I hope the VA is at the top of the list. We've got to do better for such an honorable group.
