Uh... no not a waste of time. Unless you think getting an approval for a drug that can actually be sold on the open market is a waste of time. If the UK has easier standards than the United States and they do not approve for sale then you do not have a drug you can sell. It doesn’t matter what binds to what what matters is an entity that says you can sell a drug at a profit.
