We seem to be in a downtrend for one reason only... Nader has eroded his credibility.
To be clear, I really like the guy. But he's overpromised and underdelivered to the point where the market simply doesn't believe he will deliver great news on Thursday, especially with the way the PR is worded. I think most people are expecting an underwhelming update or a promise of the trial results in another week or two, with Dr. Jay on hand to assure us it's looking good and Kelly to wiggle the uplist carrot.
So those same shareholder don't want to buy in the $5s, only to get burned when it sinks lower, like they did in the wake of some other Nader calls and appearances lately. When he doesn't come through with solid news, the PPS drops and it's made folks gun-shy.
Personally, I am holding out hope that he's learned his lesson (finally). My wish is that this time he's underpromised and now he's going to overdeliver. The shorts have clearly gotten under his skin so maybe he's about to drop a thermonuclear device in the form of hard data, a partnership, or even BO offers.
I sincerely hope that Nader knows anything short of blockbuster news is going to be an unmitigated disaster share price-wise.
