Perhaps you could use:

Enter your scenarios for both groups in regards of relative severities of Fever, Myalgia, Dyspnea and Cough in a document (excel or similar).
You should end up with two columns, one of 28 patients for placebo and another of 56 for Lero's group (once you add the 4 conditions) each patient will have a minimum of 0 and a maximum of 12 points.
Use the "Enter or paste up to 2000 rows" option, copy your data, and run the unpaired t-test.
Will give you the standard deviations (and other statistics) and p-value
.
