The patient's own reservoir cells are killed off by the T-cells produced by the donor stem cells. In another early post I had mentioned BET bromodomain inhibitor JQ1 that supposedly could force HIV to surface from reservoir cells. That combined with leronlimab could potentially work as a cure.
