Regarding success on the HIV front I’m hoping the CV approval comes first.
There is a sizable (unfortunately) segment of the US population that could care less about HIV. Especially now. Some would even prefer to not see a treatment or cure. It’s still seen as a disease that’s avoidable opposed to CV.
To tell many Americans they will be given an “AIDS” drug for CV will not sit well with some including many politicians.
To say later on that the drug test saved us from CV will also fight HIV will be a plus or at worst ignored by the same group.
