Current science indicates that smokers have a lower incidence of serious illness from Covid than non-smokers. The high number of smokers that use inhaled corticosteroids has been proposed as a mechanism for this anomalous finding.

He could be right. Incremental progress is better than no progress, but I doubt inhaled steroids will be a magical cure.
