Re: Rubraquercus #41483
“A West Texas doctor says an inhaled steroid, budesonide, a drug commonly used to treat asthma, is the "silver bullet" for COVID-19.”
I watched a video with this doctor the other day. His claims sound legitimate, but he unfortunately doesn’t have any data to back it up. “Dozens” of patients will not convinced anyone, especially when it’s not an official trial. He claimed in the video that many Asian countries are using inhaled steroids and that’s why their death count is so low, but there is no evidence to back up that claim. In fact, Oxford published a short paper discussing inhaled steroids as a potential treatment for COVId and recommended a study be conducted, but noted only 3 documented cases in China where the drug was used.
