$TMPS ex-RAF Tristar aircraft already have US registrations:
RAF Mark KC1 - Lockheed MSN 1157 - RAF ZD948 - FAA N304CS
RAF Mark KC1 - Lockheed MSN 1164 - RAF ZD950 - FAA N405CS
RAF Mark KC1 - Lockheed MSN 1165 - RAF ZD951 - FAA N309CS
RAF Mark KC1 - Lockheed MSN 1174 - RAF ZD953 - FAA N705CS
RAF Mark C2 - Lockheed MSN 1186 - RAF ZE704 - FAA N507CS
RAF Mark C2 - Lockheed MSN 1188 - RAF ZE705 - FAA N703CS
When $TMPS purchased the 6 x Tristar, they intended to use the 2 x C2 variants as spares sources (primarily for the 6 x Rolls Royce RB211 engines which would be sufficient for decades of 4 x KC1 use).
The 2 x C2 were fully serviceable when retired and flown to Bruntingthorpe along with the 4 x KC1. They have also been registered with the US FAA.
