I don't think I am explaining my position very well. I agree with you and everyone else. Not only is the placebo ridiculous, but the amount of time it showing to take to get approved is immoral. Check my post history, this has been my position from very early on. In fact I think I've been saying this the longest. And I have been lobbying with a dozen lawmakers for weeks to try to push.

I am merely trying to explain the FDA rational. I don't agree with it, but it seems they will not be disuaded.
