Don't throw the baby out with the bath water.
FDA needs to update their rules to better reflect the current science.

As with most government entrenched institutions there is not a lot of bath water. And in this situation where there is a link between large companies and the entrenched institutions, "breakthroughs" probably often drown in what little bath water there is.
