Don't throw the baby out with the bath water.
FDA needs to update their rules to better reflect the current science.
More closely mirroring Germany's CE Mark where as long as it does no harm your good to try. (Layman's over simplification I'm sure).
Simply to be able to use European data for FDA would be a big improvement.
Science should not be contained by political borders.
